Two places of worship, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, and the Yaqui Temple, El Templo, are historically significant. Annual Easter season religious ceremonies based on ancient Yaqui traditions are performed. Unobtrusive guests are welcome, but the taking of photographs is illegal. Guadalupe is near South Mountain and east of Interstate 10 and Phoenix. The town is surrounded on three sides by Tempe.
